About the Authors |
Melissa inspires people on the Path of Prosperity through counseling, speaking, and training. She brings a sense of humor and seasoned perspective to the money issues we all work on. An attorney and CFPÒ with over 25 years of successful business experience, Melissa counseled high net worth clients and entrepreneurs on strategies for wealth retention, estate planning, business operation and succession issues. Before the law, Melissa earned career stripes in corporate public affairs, political consulting, and non-profits. After many years, Melissa took leave of the law to pursue philanthropic yearnings and helped birth Designs for Dignity, a Chicago non-profit foundation that improves environments of non-profit agencies with donated design talent and recycled goods from the interior design industry. A longtime appreciation of self-development work then led her to experience the Avatar® Course and today she is a licensed AvatarÒ Master. Ellen and Melissa met on a course and there created the vision to co-author the Great With Money book. Now residing in Portland, Oregon she enjoys consulting on projects related to the environment. Melissa runs financial education workshops for individuals and groups on the topics of Six Steps to Prosperity and Stepping Up to Philanthropy. She is also available for individual coaching.
